Krista Hein Bland
Clinical Programs Coordinator
Krista Hein Bland serves as Clinical Programs Coordinator and is passionate about making relationship education accessible to everyone, especially for adolescents, young adults and couples.
She also focuses on providing mental health support for individuals with chronic illness and understanding the impact of these conditions on relationships. Believing that community-engaged practices and research are essential to developing meaningful programs and interventions, Dr. Hein Bland is committed to ensuring that the voices of the communities she serves are heard.
With experience as a marriage and family therapist in both a pediatric endocrinology office and a family medicine residency, she is dedicated to improving mental health outcomes for underserved populations. She earned a Master of Science in Human Development and Family Science from East Carolina University. She earned a Ph.D. in Human Development specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy from Virginia Tech.
